Research

Elisabeth Guazzelli’s research interests are in the field of particulate multiphase flows, such as fluidized beds, suspensions, sedimentation, and sediment transport.

 

Awards & Honors

- Fellow of the American Physical Society since 2008.
- She was named a "knight of the Legion of Honour" in 2012.
- Fellow of the European Mechanics Society (EUROMECH) since 2010
- Recipient of the EUROMECH Fluid Mechanics Prize 2016 and the APS Fluid Dynamics Prize 2023.
- Elected as international member of the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti in 2020 and of the
  National Academy of Engineering in 2021.
